 CREATING AN EFFECTIVE PRESENTATION


1. Minimize: To provide a clear message and to hold the audience's attention, keep the number of slides to a minimum.


2. Clarity: Don't be pretentious. Make use of readable font size and style.


3. Simplicity: To summarize information, use bullets, numbers, or brief sentences. Each slide should have no more than six lines with seven words per line. 6x7 rule.


4. Visuals: Don't overdo the graphics to avoid distracting your audience.


5. Consistency: make your desing uniform. 


6. Contrast: Pick a complementary color scheme.

WAYS TO INSERT HYPERLINKS IN MS POWERPOINT


1. Choose an item or underline a passage of text.

2. Use Ctrl + K Link Options or Insert > Hyperlinks:

a. Existing File or Web Page - adds a link to a local file or website in your
computer.

b. In this document, it generates a hyperlink that enables you to navigate to a particular slide.

Throughout your presentation

c. Make a New Document – makes a link that, when clicked, makes a new

document

d. An email address generates a hyperlink that launches Microsoft Outlook and adds

the new document's designated recipient.

3. If you are finished applying your hyperlink, click OK.
